Geotech Inc. provided site electrical engineering services for the Lakeview Park Renovation in the City of Portage, supporting the electrical infrastructure that enhances safety, visibility, accessibility, and visitor experience throughout the park’s revitalized waterfront.
Our team designed electrical systems serving key project amenities, including boardwalk lighting, gathering spaces, recreational features, and public-use areas. Working closely with the project team of OCBA, Geotech helped deliver reliable, maintainable electrical infrastructure that supports the park’s long-term operation and continued community use.

Project Overview

The Lakeview Park Renovation was implemented as part of a plan to modernize park facilities and improve access to the Austin Lake waterfront. A signature feature of the project is an 810-foot boardwalk extending along Austin Lake and the connecting canal, creating opportunities for recreation and waterfront access. Improvements included expanded fishing facilities, public gathering spaces, enhanced pedestrian amenities, and the Judy Acker Inspiration Garden.
The completed improvements transformed Lakeview Park into an accessible and engaging waterfront destination for residents and visitors. Geotech’s electrical design supports the park’s lighting, public spaces, and recreational amenities while contributing to a safe and welcoming community environment.
