City of Grand Rapids Archives & Records Center Rooftop Solar Array
Geotech provided photovoltaic engineering and design services for the City of Grand Rapids’ new rooftop solar installation at the Archives & Records Center. The 135 kW system features 217 bifacial solar panels mounted on a non-penetrating ballasted racking system, preserving the integrity of the building’s newly constructed roof while maximizing renewable energy production.
Our team delivered solar layout design, sun path and shading analysis, electrical power distribution engineering, and structural load evaluations to ensure safe, efficient, and long-term system performance.
