Project Highlights
- Managed the design, operation, and maintenance of the city’s snowmelt system, helping keep downtown sidewalks safe and accessible during winter weather.
- Led the citywide conversion of traffic signals to energy-efficient LED technology, improving visibility while reducing maintenance and operating costs.
- Upgraded roadway, streetscape, and public space lighting systems throughout the city, including decorative lighting installations on iconic landmarks such as the Blue Bridge and major gateway corridors.
- Conducted fiber optic network audits and rerouting projects to improve connectivity, reliability, and long-term communications infrastructure planning.
- Designed backup generator systems for critical municipal pump stations to enhance resiliency and emergency preparedness.
- Completed fiber optic infrastructure installations and upgrades within city-owned facilities, including parking structures and municipal buildings.
- Performed lighting modernization projects for municipal parking facilities, including the Government Center Parking Ramp on Monroe Avenue.
- Designed and implemented lighting and security systems supporting cultural and public-use facilities, including the Grand Rapids Public Museum campus.
- Provided city pole and manhole permit reviews, infrastructure coordination, and GIS mapping support for municipal telecommunications assets.
